Polygonum convolvulus L.

Description: Wild buckwheat is an annual plant with multiple vine-like creeping stems. Leaves are heart-shaped. Small green clustered flowers are produced in leaf axils. Seeds are triangular, less than 0.25 inch long, and dull black. They are easily recognizable in animal feed.Wild buckwheat was introduced from Europe.

Control: Annual plants require prevention of seed production and prevention of dispersal.
